Area Sales Manager – Timber and Construction Products\n\nJob Title: Area Sales Manager – Timber and Construction Products\n\nIndustry Sector: Sawn timber, carcassing timber, construction timber, pallet wood and packaging material timber, Canadian lumbar, machined whitewoods, saw milling, decking and fencing timber\n\nArea to be covered: North and Midlands\n\nBasic Salary: £50,000-£60,000\n\nBenefits: Fully expensed Hybrid Car + full benefits package\n\nThe role of the Area Sales Manager - Timber and Construction Products will involve:\n\n * Field sales position, selling a manufactured range of timber products\n\n * Selling into builders merchants, timber merchants and buying groups\n\n * Building relationships and managing existing portfolio of clients\n\n * Dealing with order values from £12k - £250k\n\n * Taking over an established region with over 200 active accounts\n\n * Four and a half days on the road visiting customers, half a day working from home/ admin\n\n * Working to a 6-12 week journey plan depending on the value of accounts\n\n * Responsible for 100,000m3 cubic meters of materials\n\n * Due to size of territory, there will be some away night covering the territory as well as site and customer visits\n\nThe ideal applicant will be an Area Sales Manager – Timber and Construction Products experience with:\n\n * Must have proven field sales track record, selling timber (or related) building materials to builders merchants, timber merchants or buying groups\n\n * Must have sold to national, regional and independent merchants, more importantly dealing with the buying groups and buying group members\n\n * Dealing with order values up to £250k\n\n * Interpersonal skills\n\n * Autonomous\n\n * Great relationship builder/ account development skills\n\nThe Company:\n\n * Est. 20 years+\n\n * Circa £10m turnover\n\n * 50+ employees\n\n * Privately held\n\nMitchell Maguire is a specialist Construction Sales Recruitment Consultancy, dealing exclusively with Construction Sales Jobs, Construction sales vacancies and Specification sales positions within the building industry in sectors such as: Sawn timber, carcassing timber, construction timber, pallet wood and packaging material timber, Canadian lumbar, machined whitewoods, saw milling, decking and fencing timber
