Children's Advanced Practitioner- MASH Team

Job Description

Our client, a Greater Manchester council is seeking a Children's Advanced Practitioner to join their MASH Team.

Responsibilities of this role:

  • Triage and screen incoming referrals to determine risk thresholds and appropriate safeguarding responses within statutory timescales
  • Lead on complex decision-making at the front door, applying professional judgement to ensure timely and proportionate interventions
  • Work collaboratively within a multi-agency safeguarding hub (MASH), sharing information with police, health, education, and partner agencies
  • Provide expert advice, guidance, and support to social workers on safeguarding concerns and child protection enquiries
  • Undertake strategy discussions and contribute to Section 47 enquiries and immediate safeguarding planning
  • Ensure accurate, high-quality recording and analysis in line with local authority and statutory requirements
  • Support and mentor less experienced staff, promoting best practice and continuous professional development
  • Contribute to service improvement, auditing, and performance monitoring to enhance outcomes for children and families

Requirements of this role:

  • Must be a Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England.
  • Must have minimum of 3 year's experience working as a Qualified social worker
