Looking for a PE Teacher in Sheffield!\n\nJob Title: PE Teacher\n\nLocation: Sheffield\n\nSalary: Up to £220 per day (depending on experience)\n\nStart Date: Immediate\n\nContract Type: Day-to-day / Long Term, Full-time / Part-time\n\nAre you an energetic and driven PE Teacher who believes in the power of sport and physical activity to transform young lives?\n\nGSL Education are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated PE Teachers to work in schools across Sheffield.\n\nAs a PE Teacher, you will play a central role in promoting physical health, teamwork, and personal resilience among students. From the sports hall to the playing field, you will deliver dynamic lessons that challenge pupils physically and support their broader development — helping them build habits and attitudes that last a lifetime.\n\nResponsibilities:\n\nPlan and deliver high-quality PE lessons across a range of sports and physical activities in line with the national curriculum\nTeach across Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential to support KS5 where applicable\nPromote active participation, sportsmanship, and a healthy, positive attitude towards physical activity\nAssess and monitor student progress, providing clear and encouraging feedback\nDifferentiate lessons to engage students of all abilities and fitness levels\nOrganise and lead extra-curricular sports activities, clubs, and competitive fixtures where appropriate\nMaintain high standards of pupil behaviour and safety during all practical sessions\nWork collaboratively with colleagues to support the wider PE department\nRequirements:\n\nQualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification\nA degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a related discipline\nExperience teaching PE in a secondary school setting is desirable\nBroad knowledge of a range of sports and physical activities\nExcellent communication skills and a natural ability to motivate and inspire students\nStrong organisational skills with a proactive, safety-conscious approach\nAn Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to complete a new application)\nPlease be advised that this role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection, and successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks, including providing an enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service or completing a new application.\n\nAs an ethical, independent recruitment agency, GSL Education are committed to providing quality teaching and support staff across the UK.\n\nTo work with GSL Education in this role, you should:\n\nHave the right to work in the UK\nHold an up-to-date CV with two references from the last 2 years\nHave a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education\nFor more information or to register your interest in this PE Teacher role, please click 'Apply Now' to submit your full and up-to-date CV.
