World Class Defence Organisation based in Stevenage, Hertfordshire is currently looking to recruit an RF Engineer subcontractor on an initial 6 month contract.   \n\nHourly Rate: £75ph (Umbrella)\nContract Duration: 6 Months (initially and then ongoing and long-term thereafter)\n\nRF Engineer Job Description:\n\nExciting opportunity for a Principal RF Engineer, in our Hardware-in-the-Loop Team\nHybrid working pattern:  80% on site, working with world class equipment.\nWe are looking for ambitious engineers with a growth mind-set to join our team. If you are the right person for us, you will seek a supportive environment, surrounded by passionate experts while being a part of a collaborative and driven team. \nThe Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) team conduct the most complete test of missiles other than a firing and are the  Missile test track.

We design complex, real-time simulations that surround real missile hardware to allow us to ‘fire missiles indoors’. \n\nResponsibilities:\n\nAs a HWIL RF engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing and maintaining new and existing RF equipment and working with multi-disciplinary teams to combine RF, electronics engineering and software development to produce new capabilities that enable the HWIL team to run new simulations.\nYou will be able to adapt to new engineering situations and be comfortable in abstracting detail in order to understand the simulation and missile’s behaviour\n\nSkillset/experience required:\n\nBroad engineering experience with deeper experience in some of the following skill areas:\n\nRadio Frequency design and testing\nSystem performance analysis\nInterface debugging and system integration\nHardware/Software design requirements\nSystem design for real-time applications\nFamiliarity with Linux operating system\nFamiliarity with computer science (C++ an advantage)\nIntegration of microcontrollers into RF hardware (e.g. Raspberry Pi)Essential:\n\nRadio Frequency design and testing\nSystem performance analysis\nInterface debugging and system integration\nHardware/Software design requirements\nSystem design for real-time applications \nDesirable:\n\nFamiliarity with Linux operating system\nFamiliarity with computer science (C++ an advantage)\nIntegration of microcontrollers into RF hardware (e.g.
