Acting as an extension of their recruitment teams, we connect them with skilled interim and temporary professionals, fostering workplaces where everyone can contribute and succeed.\n\nOn behalf of our globally respected client who develop cutting-edge technologies that deliver clean, safe and competitive solutions to meet the planet's vital power needs we are looking for a Skilled General Machinist for a 12 month contract based in Derby.\n\nJob description - the role\n\nAs a Machinist, you will be responsible for delivering against weekly targets to meet customer requirements.

You will also work with cross functional teams to implement and sustain improvement activities within our manufacturing environment.\n\nAs a Skilled General Machinist, you will:\n\nFollowing technical instructions and program manuals to deliver consistent, high-quality machining across a variety of different components and product families.\nOperating a variety of Inspection equipment, both mechanical and electronic.\nInterpreting manufacturing drawings, customer drawings and written specifications.\nAssessment of whether the quality of components produced meet required standards.\nEffective team work to resolve quality issues and ensure work is being completed to plan.\nScope to train and work across a variety of machinesWho we are looking for:\n\nApplicants must have a time served advanced apprenticeship with a minimum of City & Guilds Level 3, National Vocational Qualification (NVQ)/Scottish Vocational Qualification (SVQ) Level 3 or equivalent.
